SLL COVID-19 Update for March 30th
Dear Shoreline Little League Players and Families,
I thought that we should give you a quick update about your local Little League and the prospects for the season. At this time we are under the Governor’s order to “Stay Home, Stay Safe.” Shoreline School District has pulled our field use until the 24th of April and the City of Shoreline Parks has pulled our use until May 1st.
Last week the Shoreline Little League Board had a virtual meeting to discuss the season and how to proceed. As with a lot of other things right now there are more questions than answers. The board has determined that we want to be in a position to give the players and families the best baseball, softball and entertainment experience that we can, when it is safe to do so. How we will do that, we are now exploring. We are looking at any and all options.
During the month of April, Little League International in Wiliamsport, PA, will be having a meeting to determine how they will be proceeding. After that meeting, the Shoreline Little League Board will meet again to determine how to proceed. Around April 16th we aim to be able to inform you all about how the season may look and hope to be moving forward with a much needed baseball and softball season.
Thank you all for your patience this year. Like all of you, none of us have ever been through this and, as they say, we are writing the book as we go.
Please stay safe and healthy
John Lynch
President
