Summer Ball Update

Dear Shoreline Little League Families,

Thank you all for your patience as we figure out how to run Summer Ball sessions this year. Last Wednesday we held our first SLL Summer Ball session for AA through Junior players. It was great to see the kids out on the fields at Hamlin. Due to the popular demand, we ask the following:

  • If you have signed up for more than one session a week, please consider releasing one of the sessions to allow for more players to participate.
  • If you have signed up for a session and aren't able to attend, please make sure to cancel your spot so others can sign up.
  • If your player is a no-show twice without cancelling, their future reservations will be cancelled and unable to participate for the rest of the Summer.

For those who would like to sign up for a session, we will continue to add additional fields to increase the opportunities for kids to get out on the field. These sessions are based around fun, training sessions with baseball style games geared for baseball and softball players in divisions AA through Juniors. These are not intended to be instructional. The restrictions for use of the fields require 4 players to 1 coach, and up to 3 groups on each field are allowed. In order to sign up for a session, you will need to go to https://www.signupgenius.com/go/SLLSummer2020.

  • Check our Facebook page to be notified when we have added additional fields - this may happen only a day or two before as it's based on having coaches available.
  • If you don't have access to Facebook, you can check the Social feed on our website, or check https://www.signupgenius.com/go/SLLSummer2020 for open spots.
  • Limit only one sign up per week.
  • Masks are required by all participants, coaches and volunteers.
  • It is recommended that each player bring their own bat, helmet, glove, mask and water bottle. Bats and helmets are available for use (not shared by others) for a session if necessary.
  • Please remember we are offering this free of charge. If you are interested in making a donation to help offset the cost of equipment, cleaning supplies and fields, you may do so at SLL PayPal account.

When registering you will need to fill out the Little League Medical Release form and read the SLL Return to Play Safety Plan for the Summer Ball events. Please note that if you, your player, or anyone in your household has any signs of illness listed in the safety plan, stay home.

Interested in helping out on the field? Please email [email protected]. The volunteer/coach role on the field is primarily to keep order. This can be a great opportunity for high schoolers. The more volunteers we have means more kids can participate and we can open up more fields.

Thank you and let us know if you have any questions or concerns,
